Hi! I'm Dan and I'm a geek/nerd/techie here in Columbus, Ohio.I'm sure a lot of people with only a passing familiarity with Columbus think it's not that great of an area to live in. But I have friends and family that live in San Diego, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, et. al. and trust me, Columbus rocks! I'll take my 5 minute commute, reasonably priced housing and bevy of geekminded people any day over the _big_ cities.When I'm not busy doing the things that geeks/nerds/techies do I'll watch a good movie, read a good book, listen to good music somtimes simultaneously.Occasionally I'll play a computer game but it has to be real good. For example, Portal is my most recent favorite computer game. If you haven't heard of it you should check it out.If the nickname on my profile means anything to you then you and I would probably get along just fine. If not then, that's OK, too! And, no, it has nothing to do with the band.I'm neither obsequious, purple or clairvoyant.If you searched for me on Google you'd probably get close to 10,000 hits. I've been using the Internet since the early 90s and computers in one form or another for about 25 years. I know that's probably longer than some of the people reading this have been alive. So if you have a technology related question ask me. I don't always have the answer but I _always_ know where to get it.
