I know what I like - do you?
I'm no longer sure what I am looking for, I just know what I like. So I'll start there: I like touching and being touched, on my body and in my heart. I like talking about deep things, as if everything isn't out of control some things are our own responsibility. I like to laugh at the unexpected.
There's nothing more exciting than a smart woman, who isn't meanspirited. It really isn't difficult to tell me something I don't know and not include an insult in the process. I think I love that ability most of all. Talking about important things, learning new things, laughing at what we don't know, playing Scrabble and learning a new word, the ability to each read a book and not interrupt the other person. Love is no longer a cremation pyre, at my age it is a permanent ember lying under the grey ashes that can be warm on a cold night, or uncovered and given fuel to flame again.
