Touring musician and therapist needs some trouble
At a glance my typical week appears to be suffering from multiple personalities. A few days a week i can be found traveling around the country, guitar in the backseat, moving from town to town promoting my band's latest record. The morning after the show i like to take a run through whatever city i may be in. Then it's time to track down the food the locals actually want to eat, the bookstores the locals kill time in and the coffee... well... you get it. Finally i hop back in the car and head to (insert interesting city here). Last week was Chicago to Madison, 2 cities that own permanent real estate in my heart.As for the other days left in the week... I can be found at my psychotherapy internship doing oneonone counseling and leading treatment groups for my amazing clients. It is exhausting, rewarding and I love it just as much as i love music. Once my Masters in done (a few months i want to start work on building a "school of rock" type program where kids that are mentally ill come and learn to play in bands together while attending group therapy. I'm on here to meet some girls to go out and see the city (perhaps other cities) and get to know some new people.
Here's what I would like from you.1. have a favorite book, record, place to visit and be able to tell me or anyone else why their life will not quite be what it should until they read, hear, go there.2. Be active. take care of yourself and those around you.3. Everyone likes to travel...be willing to actually do it often.4. Have something that you do that you can't imagine ever not doing. Be doing it because it makes you a better person.
